Amanda Coffin

Amanda Coffin is a second year graduate student at Villanova University pursuing her M.A. in Theatre. She is a full-time assistant in the Set Shop and recently received the Belle Masque Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Amanda has worked extensively as a director, dramaturg, and actor in Boston, Washington, D.C., and now Philadelphia. Specific research and performance interests include New Work/Devising, Physical Theatre, Feminist Theatre and Female Playwrights, and Irish Theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre Studies and a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, from Emerson College. Research for this paper was completed at The Abbey Theatre in Dublin, Ireland and at the National University of Ireland: Galway as part of Villanova’s Abbey Theatre Summer Studio 2015.
