Kerry Hasler-Brooks is a second-year graduate student in English. She graduated with her B.A. in English from Messiah College in May 2005. She currently teaches American literature and a freshman honors genre course at Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey. Her article “The Market Place of the Scarlet Letter” was the final project for an early American novel class taught by Dr. Michael Berthold. She will complete her thesis in the fall, working on the short stories of Katherine Anne Porter.
