Something to Crow About: Birds with Tools
Main Article Content
Abstract
What kind of tools do New Caledonian crows (NCCs; Corvus moneduloides) make, and why do they make them? How do corvids represent the causal world? Tool use in NCCs is evaluated and then compared among Corvidae family members and across Aves orders. A critique of corvid cognition outlines the logical bounds of corvid representation.
